Meet the Founder

A Message from Clarence Shaun Smith

I founded MOCK INC. because I know what it feels like to have potential but not always have the guidance needed to reach it.

Growing up, I was surrounded by strong people who believed in service, education, and faith. My mother spent over 30 years helping families through early childhood education. My grandfather served his community through public service. My family taught me the values of discipline, respect, and hard work.

But like many young people, I also faced moments where one decision could have defined my future.

At 18, a wrong choice landed me in the Los Angeles County jail system. In that moment, I saw how easily a young life can go in the wrong direction without mentorship, structure, and opportunity.

Fortunately, I was surrounded by people who believed in second chances. Mentors, family members, coaches, and leaders helped guide me back on the right path.

Through discipline, accountability, and faith, I rebuilt my life and went on to build a successful career in the automotive industry.

But along the way, I realized something powerful.

Many of the life lessons that helped change my life—leadership, financial literacy, accountability, and mentorship—are lessons many young people never receive early enough.

MOCK INC. was created to change that.

Our mission is simple: expose young people to the skills, mentorship, and opportunities that can help them become leaders in their communities.

Because when a young person is given the right guidance at the right time, their entire future can change.

Individual Assesment

Every participant begins with a structred intake assessment designed to identify strengths, learning style, goals, and growth areas. No youth enters the program without a clear development plan.

Structured Simulations

Participants engage in hands-on simulations that mirror real-world expectations — including financial decision-making, workplace conduct, civic responsibility, professional standards, and accountability systems.

Measured Growth

Progress is documented through performance-based benchmarks, mentor evaluations, and structured accountability systems designed to reinforce discipline and track measurable improvement over time.
